2019-02-01  -   RESIDE AWARDED REFURBISHMENT CONTRACT AT BILLINGSHURST SURGERY

Reside Construction has been awarded the extensive refurbishment of Billingshurst Surgery, West Sussex. NHS England funding has taken some time to finalise, so we're delighted that work can begin with a contract start date of 18 February 2019.

Billingshurst Surgery was established as a GP Practice in the 1930s, moving to its current purpose-built surgery in 1990 which was then extended in 2000. The team comprises nine GPs, seven nurses, healthcare assistants, dispensary and admin staff who support general medical services provided to more than 13,200 patients in and around the local area. 

The whole surgery will be remodelled and refurbished throughout, creating five new consulting rooms, an additional treatment room, and a lift to improve access to the first floor. The project is anticipated to take approximately nine months, and will allow increased patient capacity and community health services in the enhanced space.
