Reside created new hospice and community service buildings for Woking & Sam Beare Hospices, enabling them to provide enhanced care to people living with life-limiting conditions

GOLDSWORTH PARK HOSPICE, WOKING

Reside was commissioned to provide a dramatically improved hospice and community service for people with life-limiting conditions who need complex medical care, complementary therapy, end of life services, and support for their families.

Goldsworth Park was developed from the total refurbishment of a disused office building in Woking, Surrey. The new facility for Woking & Sam Beare Hospices includes 20 ensuite in-patient rooms with family accommodation, a Wellbeing Centre, and a hub for the Community Hospice team.

The In-Patient Unit includes private, en-suite bedrooms with family accommodation in each room, enabling families to stay with their loved ones as long as they wish. The Wellbeing Centre provides greater capacity for patients to access a wider range of physiotherapy, complementary therapies, specialised bathing facilities, and clinical/peer support and advice.70% of all the care provided by the hospice nursing team is delivered in the patients’ own homes. The community hub hosts the latest technology to reduce administration and paperwork, allowing the Community Nursing team to spend more time directly with their patients.

This state-of-the-art building allows the charity's whole service to give everyone access to the expertise and care of dedicated expert staff, whenever and wherever it's needed.
