PROJECT UPDATES

2020-01-31  -   NEW YEAR, NEW ROOF AT ST PETER'S CHURCH ROPLEY

Thanks to our dedicated team, the project to restore fire-ravaged St Peter's church in Ropley, Hampshire, has moved on in leaps and bounds during recent weeks.

The images in this update show the door openings formed into the existing church from the new north extension walls, and a couple of views of the glulam beams installed awaiting structural steel.

Having lifted these impressive beams into place at the end of last year, the steelwork has now been installed to finalise the roof structure. The next step is to construct the timbers which will then support the roof tiling.

As of January 2020, the rebuild project  currently has a phase 1 shortfall of over £165,000 on its target to achieve a useable building. If you can help, take a look at their fundraising video below and visit the Raise St Peter's website.
